About the Designer

Michele graduated from UMASS Boston with a fine arts degree concentrating in painting and photography. However, she has always been drawn to the world of fiber arts. Using mostly silks, velvets and lots and lots of trim, she loves to craft art quilts, fiber jewelry and handbags.
Recently people have been stopping her in stores, on the streets and in airports asking her where she purchased the purses she carries. So, the label (made up of her Mom's and her middle names) was born.
Michele works as a designer and exhibits director for a trim company based in Nashville.

She has written articles and How To's for magazines, and her designs have appeared in books and on web sites. Michele will also appear on 2 segments of Quilting Art TV in spring 2008 on your local PBS station. She lives in CT where she loves to garden and be with her family and friends.
